From adolescence through to old age, there are factors about being female that will influence optimal health and function. The musculoskeletal system must be considered as integral to each woman as a whole. We will briefly consider the physiological and psychological changes of each life stage (adolescence, childbearing years and over 40) and the health issues that arise from them. This workshop will teach you how to design exercise programs and provide education for your female clients throughout the life stages.




Michelle Schwahn, PT, is a physical therapist, personal trainer and fitness instructor. She specializes in the areas of core fitness, stabilization and balance training and has developed fitness and therapy programs for OPTP. Certification: AFAA
