2008 IDEA World Fitness Convention™ Session Selection
Instructions for Session Selection
Welcome to IDEA's Real-time Session Selection system. Sessions for the event are assigned on a first-click, first-served basis. (No more 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices!) This page describes the process of selecting sessions, and highlights some of the new features we've added. Read through this page and then click on the first day of the event to begin making your selections. (You can also add Preconference sessions by clicking on the Preconference tab.)
1. Select the date.

2. Read about sessions and presenters.
Roll your mouse over a session name to read the description:

Roll your mouse over a presenter name to read the bio:

Click on a presenter's name to see all the sessions he's presenting:

3. Select the sessions you want to attend.
You reserve a seat in a session when you select it. You give up that reservation when you select a different session or choose "Leave time block open." Spend as much time as you need selecting the rest of your sessions--we'll hold your seat until you give it up.

4. Check out options for sessions that are full.
If a session is full, you'll see a "similar sessions" option. Roll your mouse over "similar sessions" to see other available sessions by the same presenter or covering similar material.

Consider adding your name to the stand-by list. We've limited the size of the stand-by list, and give you an idea of the likelihood of getting into the session. You can go stand-by at the event without adding your name in advance, but we give the stand-by list priority.

5. Review your schedule.
Your schedule not only shows the sessions you've chosen, but also highlights time blocks you missed.

Your schedule also shows your priority number when you're on a stand-by list.
6. E-mail your schedule to yourself or a friend.

7. Print your schedule.

8. Come back and revise your schedule as you wish.
You can come back, review and print your schedule whenever you like. You can also revise your schedule until a week before the event. Remember that sessions fill up as we get closer to the event date.
