Back pain and injury impairs the function of your core muscles and therefore the function of your entire body. We will discuss how this occurs, common compensations that can lead to back pain and learn corrective exercise strategies to improve the functional status of your client's low back. Eric Beard, MS, is a senior master instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine for which he delivers evidenced-based presentations on the Optimum Performance Training Model. In addition, he oversees a staff of personal trainers at a health club in the Boston area where he also works with clients and athletes. Eric is a licensed and practicing massage therapist and frequently uses manual therapy techniques with his clients. Certifications: NASM and NSCA
