It is no surprise that childhood obesity is an issue. While public and government agencies are strategizing for a solution, viable treatment and prevention programs at the private health club level may be the solution. Julian Varela, MS, is co-owner of Equilibrium Fitness Inc. and The Studio Fitness for Women. He holds a masters degree in exercise science and specializes in youth fitness, childhood obesity and weight management. Julian is involved in childhood obesity advocacy on a grassroots level and presents regularly on the topic. Certification: NSCA
