Nora St. John has been teaching Pilates in studio, group and post-rehabilitation settings for 18 years. She is the education program director for the Balanced Body University and holds a Pilates Method Alliance certification.

The reformer is a great exercise tool for clients of all abilities. Learn simple ways to modify common Pilates exercises for clients with low-back pain, osteoporosis, pregnancy and limited mobility. Use tools such as flex bands, towels, pillows and balls of all sizes to create a successful experience for every client.

Pilates reformer exercises are a great source of inspiration for Pilates mat classes. Using a flex-band, you will learn several reformer exercises to add variety, upper and lower limb strengthening and coordination to your Pilates mat classes. BYOM

Learn simple self-massage techniques using the foam roller and small balls to release tension, improve joint function and decrease pain. You will love the relaxation and release that comes from these simple exercises. This workshop introduces the concept of self-myofascial release and its appropriate application for Pilates teachers, personal trainers and group exercise instructors. None of the exercises taught require contact between the client and the trainer.

Transfer Pilates mat exercises onto the new lightweight Pilates Arc(TM) and create classes that are fresh, inspiring and fun. Learn new and traditional exercises for increasing core strength, improving neuromuscular integration and correcting alignment. This workshop includes several class formats with detailed handouts on all the new exercises.
