Sessions Presented by PJ O’Clair

Time Block C - Friday, 10:30am-12:20pm
Presented By PJ O’Clair
Session Format: Workshop
The first session may be the most important group reformer class you teach. This workshop will give you the tools to ensure a motivating and stimulating class. Selected reformer exercises will be examined with an eye to maintaining pace and flow so the group can “feel” the workout while still ensuring proper technique. The use of demonstration, imagery and concise cuing and correcting will be discussed.
Time Block E - Saturday, 7:00-8:00am
Presented By PJ O’Clair
Session Format: Workout
Take STOTT PILATES Essential Reformer exercises to a higher level of intensity and experience variety and a “stepped-up” pace. By increasing the speed and flow of the exercise sequences and modifying the existing repertoire to increase muscular and cardiovascular endurance, you will see how you can inspire clients who may not be ready for an intermediate reformer program. Prerequisite: STOTT PILATES Essential Reformer workshop AND previous experience teaching or studying Pilates reformer exercises.
Time Block J - Sunday, 9:40-11:30am
Presented By PJ O’Clair
Session Format: Workshop
This workshop will introduce participants to a variety of exercises on the split-pedal stability chair. The capabilities of the chair will be described and utilized. See how this modality offers your clients and students the opportunity to perform functional work against spring resistance in a variety of positions (sitting, standing and lying). Here is an opportunity to train core stability while working bilaterally, unilaterally or reciprocally with the limbs. Session repeated as #153.
